A. You can hire our graduates! PrairieView School of Photography does not provide photographic services directly to the public. However, many of our diploma graduates go on to create their own businesses. Some specialize in one area while others support a broad range of services.
Check out our Alumni Business page for more details!
A. Yes! As a vocational college, we do our best to prepare our students for the realities of working as a photographer. Spending time as a photographic assistant is valuable learning experience.
If you have an opening for a photographic assistant, contact the school by email or phone with the details including the hours and the rate you are willing to pay. We will put up a posting and encourage students to apply.
A. No. As a vocational school, we are prohibited from providing free services via our students and it would be unethical for us to do so. You can't get a free haircut from a hairdressing college, free IT support from a computer college, or free professional photography from a photographic college. This applies to students as photographers or assistants.
A. Possibly. We are proud to be a part of the Winnipeg community and we encourage our students to find creative ways to collaborate with causes and organizations that are important to them. Send us an email or call to work out a proposal that can benefit both your organization and our students!
