Learn the essential elements of digital and traditional photography in a state-of-the-art facility. Master the tools, techniques, aesthetics and business fundamentals needed to enter the photographic industry.

Our Diploma in Professional Photography course is among the most comprehensive 10–month programs offered anywhere in Canada. Graduates can go on to work in a wide variety of positions throughout the photographic industry and beyond. We accept a very limited number of students for the program that runs each year from September to June. Early applications are encouraged.

FAQ

Q: What prerequisites do I need?

A: You need to be highly motivated, have a genuine interest in photography and be able to commit to a full-time course of study for the duration of the program. You must have your grade 12 or a GED as well as be fluent in English, both oral and written. It is preferable to have some previous experience in photography but not absolutely necessary.


Q. What kind of equipment will I need?

A. At a bare minimum, students will need to start the school year with a digital SLR (with lens), a film SLR (with lens), a sturdy tripod, and a Macintosh compatible external hard drive. For more information, visit our Diploma Gear FAQ page.
